Welcome to The Journey You Own Meditation Series with Jyothi V. Robertson, DVM. In this practice, we focus on connecting with the power of light within ourselves, grounding ourselves in the present moment, and embracing our unique experiences.
Listen to the episode below.
Jyothi begins the session by guiding us through deep breaths, inviting us to feel the air entering our nostrils and filling our chests and bellies, while consciously relaxing our shoulders and settling into a position that provides the utmost support. Through a gentle body scan, we draw energy from the ground up, starting with our feet, calves, thighs, and pelvis, allowing us to become present to the sensations and vitality of our bodies. With each breath, the energy ascends to our chest, heart space, and throat, releasing tension and promoting relaxation. As we reach the top of our heads, the energy dissipates outward, surrounding us in a comforting embrace. Jyothi encourages us to explore the manifestations of this energy, whether through imagery, breath, light, or sound. We navigate our thoughts and return to the felt sensations of our bodies, tuning in to areas that require attention and nurturing.
In the final moments of the practice, we set intentions for the weekend, contemplating how we want to show up for ourselves and the world, and how our light and energy can replenish and uplift us. Let us embark on this empowering meditation journey together, celebrating our resilience and cultivating inner light.
