This post explores the idea of leadership intelligence, or the areas of focus specific to developing leaders. While many skills have been said to cultivate proficiency in leadership, most of those actually only cultivate proficiency in management.
As we increase awareness, we face what we do not know, which can be unsettling, and cause anxiety. The anxiety in turn then motivates us to find new levels of awareness. Look at this as a circular, not linear or sequential, effort. The journey of awareness is continuous and expands our perspectives to new patterns, systems, worldviews, mental models, and our own level of responsibility in any situation as co-creators.
