Years ago, during my travels in India, I had the privilege of learning about a remarkable teacher known as the “laughing guru.” Those who encountered him couldn’t help but join in the contagious waves of laughter that surrounded him. The stories of the laughing guru left a lasting impression on me, and the idea of incorporating laughter into meditation has always intrigued me.

Recently, during an online mini-meditation session that I was leading, something magical happened. Laughter spontaneously bubbled up within me, and as I chuckled, those joining via Zoom couldn’t resist joining in. It was a moment of pure joy and connection! This experience reminded me of the incredible power of laughter, not only to uplift our spirits but also to bring people together.

In the aftermath of our impromptu laughter session, we decided to explore this further. We believed that combining laughter with meditation could be a transformative and enjoyable practice for everyone. Thus, “The Laughing Movement” was born.

The Laughing Movement is a 30 to 45-minute laughing and grounding meditation session designed for both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Our goal is simple: to spread laughter, joy, and positivity. During this unique session, participants will have the opportunity to:

Experience Laughter: We will guide you through a laughter practice, allowing you to tap into the childlike joy that laughter can bring. Laughter is infectious, and in this session, you’ll witness how it can spread like wildfire.

Grounding Practice: After indulging in laughter, we’ll seamlessly transition into a grounding meditation. This practice will help you reconnect with your inner calm and balance, leaving you feeling refreshed and centered.

Science of Laughter: Ever wondered why laughter feels so good? We’ll briefly delve into the science behind laughter, exploring its physical and emotional benefits. It’s not just fun; it’s also good for your health!

Even if you find yourself in a moment where laughter seems impossible or distant, we encourage you to give it a try. Laughter has the incredible ability to lighten our burdens and brighten our days, no matter the circumstances.
